Meet Anna Beth

Strong communities don't happen by accident. They are built by people willing to listen, collaborate, and lead. That belief has shaped nearly every chapter of Anna Beth Gorman's life and career.

For almost twenty years, Anna Beth has helped lead organizations through periods of growth and change. She has worked with business leaders, nonprofit organizations, educators, elected officials, and community volunteers to turn ideas into results. Her approach is simple: listen carefully and focus on finding practical solutions.

Since 2016, Anna Beth has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Women's Foundation of Arkansas. During her tenure, she has transformed the organization from a one-person operation into a statewide philanthropic leader with a budget of more than $2 million. She expanded its work on economic opportunity, entrepreneurship, and financial empowerment while helping rebuild the Arkansas Women's Commission and strengthening the Foundation's voice on public policy and advocacy.

Her leadership has earned recognition across Arkansas. Anna Beth was selected as a Presidential Leadership Scholar, has been named by Arkansas Business as one of the state's 250 most influential leaders for five consecutive years, was recognized as one of the publication's 40 Under 40 business leaders, and was the 2022 Democratic nominee for Secretary of State.

Anna Beth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hollins University before completing a Master of Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She believes learning never stops and has continued to invest in leadership development throughout her career.

Community involvement has always been an important part of Anna Beth's life. She has served as Chair of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and has volunteered with numerous civic and nonprofit organizations throughout her career. In her own neighborhood, she helped establish the annual Rockwater 9/11 First Responders Breakfast, a tradition that reflects her belief that strong neighborhoods begin with neighbors who know and support one another and the public servants that make communities stronger.

North Little Rock is where Anna Beth and her husband, Colin, are raising their two children. They enjoy spending time on the River Trail, visiting local parks, supporting local businesses, and being active in the community they proudly call home.
